A Slice of Heaven

Hobart’s best pizza spots. Whether you’re a Hobart local or just passing through, one thing’s for sure — this little city knows how to do pizza right. From woodfired classics to creative, topping-loaded pies, Hobart has a slice (or three) for everyone. We randomly picked four pizza restaurants and hope that your next dinner spot is on this list. Here’s the lowdown on four must-try pizza places that are serving up the goods.

Ti Ama –  Hobart Salamanca
Ti Ama is one of those places that just gets pizza. Tucked away towards the end of Salamanca Place, it blends a cool, lively vibe with a menu full of seriously good woodfired pizzas. Their dough is perfectly blistered and chewy, the toppings are fresh and generous, and they’re not afraid to get a little creative. The “Margherita pizza” was a standout for me — fresh and flavoursome and just different enough to feel special. Bonus points for their cocktails and friendly service. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to revisit with friends… or alone. No judgment. Photo from Ti Ama Facebook. Bookings https://www.tiama.com.au/

Di Angelo’s – Battery Point
Battery Point feels like it was made for leisurely walks and good food, and Di Angelo’s fits right in. This cosy little Italian joint delivers classic-style pizzas with a traditional flair. Think thin bases, rich tomato sauce, and quality ingredients that speak for themselves. The Capricciosa was packed with flavor. It’s a great spot for a casual date night or a low-key catch-up, and their pastas are worth exploring too if you’ve got room. Photo courtesy of Di Angelo Risorante Facebook. Medici – Hobart CBD
Located right in the heart of town, Medici is perfect when you want something fast but still delicious. It’s a step up from your average takeaway — the pizza here is bold, hearty, and made with care. Their “Meat Lovers” is exactly what you’d hope for (loaded but not greasy), and the vegetarian options are solid too. Grab a slice (or a whole box) and take it to the waterfront for a laid-back lunch. It’s not fancy, but it’s consistently good, and that counts for a lot. Solo Pasta and Pizza – Sandy Bay Road, Hobart
If you’re looking for a place that feels like a local favourite and delivers on all fronts, Solo’s is the one. It’s a family-run restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that doesn’t disappoint. The woodfired pizzas here are crisp and flavourful, with a nice range of toppings from the traditional to the slightly adventurous. I loved the “Mafiosi” —  sausage, jalapenos, and just the right amount of cheese. The service is warm, and they make you feel like you’re part of the family. Come hungry and leave happy.

Final Slice
Each of these spots brings something unique to Hobart’s pizza scene. Whether you’re after a quick bite, a night out, or a woodfired masterpiece, there’s a pizza here with your name on it. So go on — treat yourself to a slice (or several). You won’t regret it.
