This has to be one of the most stunning locations for an Airbnb and how lucky are we; Andrew & Lisa is happy to share it with travellers who can recharge soaking up the views on this fabulous property. How’s the serenity? Perfect.
We loved our stay here, pictures don’t even do the place justice. Definitely breathe taking views and very spacious accommodation. Andrew & Lisa were very easy to deal with. Would recommend to family and friends to stay here. We actually didn’t want to leave ❤️

Great location , extremely clean and everything has been thought of. The driveway is challenging , I suggest 4WD to tackle the steep climb. Very peaceful location , we were lucky enough to see a local wallaby in the gardens . Guests aged from 12-82 years old , and property suited everyone . Thank you !

Only 5 minutes drive to the centre of Hobart or leave the car behind (parking for three cars on site) and take the bus from the bottom of the driveway.

The space

IMPORTANT: THIS HOUSE IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE

We have had to implement the following policy due to a number of recent guests disregarding our house rules and creating unacceptable levels of noise at the house, causing a disturbance to our neighbours.

House on the Hill is situated in a quiet residential area. Guests should not create noise that could disturb our neighbours at any time during their stay.

We have implemented a strict Quiet Time between 10pm and 8am where there is to be no noise on the decks or outdoor areas.

In addition, there should be no excessive noise on the decks and outside areas at any time during your stay and noise inside the house should be at a level so as not to be heard from neighbouring properties.

The house is for accommodation only and is not suitable for parties, gatherings or functions of any kind. There is to be no more than 2 visitors to the house without our prior written consent.

If you do not feel that you can abide by these rules DO NOT book this house. If you do book the house and disregard these rules our neighbours will let us know. You will be asked to vacate the property immediately and may lose your booking fee and deposit.

If you can abide by these rules than House On The Hill may be the perfect holiday home for you.

Perched on the side of a hill this large, contemporary house has spectacular views of the Derwent River from almost every room. Providing an escape from the everyday, set in private, secluded grounds with lovely gardens.

Relax in the large, sunny living room, taking in the view through the extensive windows. Glass sliding doors lead out onto the huge deck where you can chill out on a sun lounger and watch the constantly changing activity on the river. Budding chefs can cook up a storm in the well equipped kitchen.

The house can sleep up to 12 people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Guests have full use of the house for the duration of their stay

Sleeping arrangements

The house can sleep up to 12 people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Bedroom 1
This is the master bedroom. It has a queen size bed, an ensuite, a walk-in-robe and water views. This room can also fit a cot, if required.

Bedroom 2
This is the largest upstairs room. It has a king size bed (that can be split into two singles), fitted wardrobe, it’s own private balcony and water views. This room can also fit a cot, if required.

Bedroom 3
This room has 2 Single beds, a wardrobe and garden views.

Bedroom 4
This room has a queen bed, a hanging robe and garden views

All these bedrooms are upstairs, on the same level as the kitchen-dining, living room and main bathroom. This is also the level where you access the outdoor deck and under cover patio areas with BBQ.

Bedroom 5
This room is downstairs and has 2 long single beds and 1 king bed (can be split into 2 singles).

There is an additional shower room and seperate toilet on this level.
