We absolutely loved our stay! The house is so gorgeous and very obviously well cared for by Caroline and Lisa. It’s also in a great location, easy walking distance to Battery Point, etc. and a lovely view of Kunanyi (Mt Wellington) on the front porch.

We weren’t bothered by the main road that the listing talks about, it’s actually relatively quiet during the evening. The security/sensor light will pop on when a car drives past so anyone who is light sensitive, bring a sleeping mask so that you’re not distracted during the evening (which I wasn’t but aware it may be worthwhile recommending for others).

The kitchen has everything you’ll need, the fireplace is wonderful on cold nights with burning wood available from the service station just a few metres away on the corner.

The house has plenty of period features, and is decorated with many vintage pieces in a nod to its history and an eye to a sustainable future. You will sense a mellow and inviting ambience as you walk through.
